The short version

Physics Arcade sets no cookies of its own. It uses your browser's localStorage — which is not a cookie — to remember your scores, favourites and settings on your own device.

Cookies this site sets

None. Physics Arcade does not set cookies. There is no session cookie, no preference cookie and no analytics cookie, because there is no server-side session, no account system and no analytics service.

localStorage, and why it is not a cookie

The site uses localStorage instead. The difference matters:

CookielocalStorage
Sent to the serverYes, with every requestNo, never
Readable by the serverYesNo
Typical size limitAbout 4 KBSeveral megabytes
ExpirySet by the siteUntil you clear it
Used here forNothingScores, favourites, settings

Because localStorage is never transmitted, your scores and favourites are genuinely private to your device. We could not read them if we wanted to.

What is stored

Every key this site writes begins with pa:. The full list is in the privacy policy, and it contains only game ids, numbers and preference values — nothing that identifies you.

Managing it

  • Clear favourites: the button on the favourites page.
  • Clear play history: the button on the recently played page.
  • Clear everything: clear site data for this domain in your browser settings.
  • Prevent it entirely: block site data for this domain, or use a private window. The site works fully; it simply forgets between visits.

Third-party cookies

At the time this page was last updated, no third-party service on this site sets cookies, because no third-party script is loaded at all. There are no embedded videos, no social widgets, no external fonts and no analytics.

If advertising is enabled

The layout reserves space for advertising, but no advertising network is currently active. If one is enabled in future, that provider will typically set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may present its own consent interface where the law requires one.

In that event, this page will be updated before the change goes live to name the provider, describe what it sets, and link to its own cookie information. We would rather tell you in advance than have you discover it.
